The Strengthening Families Program (SFP)
SFP is a free class for parents and teens to attend ways to improve and strengthen family bonds. Some topics covered include communication, anger management, value recognition, self esteem, problem solving peer pressure, setting goals, and establishing family meetings. SFP is a 12 week program involving weekly classes where parents and youth are seperated into groups and learn life skills which are then practiced together in a family group through interactive and creative activities. Families may be self referred or mandated to attend SFP and will be assessed before entering the program.
